Salmon done sweetly

Salmon done sweetly

Our dark maple syrup is a classic go-to for pancakes and waffles, of course. But it’s also beautiful for fish glazes. Pure Sappiness maple syrup is lovingly handcrafted by our friends at the Wagler family farm in Wellesley Ontario, where maple syrup has been a passion and a tradition for generations. No artificial flavours, no dyes, no preservatives, and no sugar added. Just pure, natural, maple syrupy goodness. Mmmm….

Oven-Baked Salmon Recipe
1 tsp of olive oil
3 to 4-ounce skinless salmon fillet
Pure Sappiness
Soy or tamari sauce
A good quality balsamic vinegar
Drizzle salmon with maple syrup, soy or Tamari sauce and balsamic vinegar. Salt and pepper to taste.

In the oven: Preheat the oven to 450. Drizzle a non-stick baking sheet with olive oil and place salmon, skin side down. Bake for about 12 to 15 minutes, the salmon should be pink inside.

Stovetop: Heat a non-stick frying pan to medium heat and add olive oil. Place salmon fillet on pan and cook for approx. 5 minutes. Flip and cook for approx. 5 more minutes or until cooked through.

Serve with steamed kale if desired.
