Maple Caramel Popcorn

Maple Caramel Popcorn

Craving a healthier twist on caramel corn? Here’s a guilt-free recipe that satisfies those snack cravings without compromising on taste!

Start by adding a couple of tablespoons of popping corn into a paper bag or a silicon bowl—no need for oil here. Microwave for about 2.5 minutes or until the popping slows. If you prefer the stovetop method, a touch of olive or coconut oil will do the trick. Once popped, transfer the popcorn to your favorite bowl and let it cool for a minute while you whip up your maple caramel sauce. Here’s how I make it:

Grab a small stainless steel pot and turn up the heat to high. Add approximately 2 tablespoons of Pure Sappiness maple syrup and heat until it starts boiling. Keep stirring vigorously until the color begins to change (usually about a minute). Once it’s ready, spoon the warm caramel over your popcorn and mix thoroughly to coat each piece. For an extra touch, consider adding a pat of butter to the syrup.

Now, all that’s left is to indulge! Enjoy this guilt-free treat as a snack or share it with friends and family for a delightful movie night. Happy snacking!
